WEEKLY REMINDER: Club today! It better not rain on us.

06/01/2016

It's nearing the end of the school year and I'd like to remind the club members that we are in need of new officers!

Neither I or our vice president, Jackson, will be returning to WCC in the fall. If you will be here for the 2016-2017 year, consider taking over the club!

ALSO, Orca Day is coming up in ONE WEEK. I haven't gotten everything in order quite yet, but I'm pretty sure we'll have a booth there.
SO, is anyone interested in helping run the booth at Orca Day? It goes from 10-2, but setup will probably begin anywhere from 30min -1hr before the start of the event.
I'm afraid I don't have all the details at this moment, but I'll see if I can stop by Student Life tomorrow before club to see what's going on.

Hope to see you tomorrow!

ACK, I have forgotten the weekly reminder! Club will be happening TODAY at 3:00!

05/19/2016

WEEKLY REMINDER: Club today! As always, if you have loaners you can bring, PLEASE BRING THEM.

05/12/2016

WEEKLY REMINDER: Club TODAY! Same time, same place. Please bring AS MANY BOFFERS AS YOU CAN (also friends, bringing friends is good too).

I'm going to have to 'officially' end the meeting and leave a little before 4:00, but everyone is welcome to stay for some 'unofficial' fighting as long as they want.

Also, if you're able, please try to come close to 3:00, I have some matters of business to discuss and it would be best if as many people as possible were there to discuss them.

05/06/2016

A quick question to everyone that was at the meeting today: did anyone accidentally take the large, light blue scissors with them? They've gone missing here.

If you have them, please bring them to the meeting next Thursday. Thanks.

WEEKLY REMINDER: There will be a meeting TODAY from 3:00 - 4:30 by the rotating rock at Kulshan.

I'll have all of the supplies left from boffer-making day for anyone who wants to finish the boffers they started.

It would be best to show up on time, but it's okay to come later if you must.

Hope to see you there!

BOFFER-MAKING DAY IS TODAY! Come into Syre and join us in the big stage room!
If you want to complete your boffer at the event, you should probably give yourself about two hours (or more) to work on it.

If you have to leave (or the event ends) and you still aren't done, you should be able to take your WIP home with you.

05/02/2016

One last reminder, Boffer-Making Day is TOMORROW (May 3rd) from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM in the SYRE AUDITORIUM.

04/30/2016

Boffer-Making Day is just around the corner! Come to the Syre Auditorium this Tuesday (May 3) between 10:00 and 2:00 to try your hand at making a boffer.
You can also use the supplies to repair any battle-scarred swords you have.

P.S. If you want to help with the prep work, come in around 9:30.

04/28/2016

Weekly Reminder: We'll be having a meeting TODAY from 3:00 - 4:30! We currently have a shortage of boffers so please bring any you can.

Hope to see you there!

04/26/2016

Boffer-Smithing Day is coming up in exactly one week (May 3)!
For those of you who want a head start, here's the guide I'll be following throughout the event. You don't have to follow it if you have your own preferred method, but I'll be using it to show newcomers how to make their own sword.

The guide was written by Spencer Peters, a former WCC Running Start student who used to sell boffers at the Farmer's Market. Nearly every boffer that's been brought to the club was made by Spencer.

Today I’ll be making a short sword, but this tutorial contains the information needed to make all sorts of different boffers.
