This project has taken me waaayyyyy longer than I wanted but I think it’s a great learning opportunity. I know what I can do and what I don’t want to do. I made these cute cedar shutters and will soon replace those metal posts with cedar ones. On the inside I built a sliding barn door and some open shelving in the kitchen. All in all, super proud of this project and I’m positive whoever ends up living here will be proud to show it off as well 💙

Coming out of college at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a Christian Ministry degree, it made sense that my career would start in youth ministry. Since I was 15 years old, I knew God was calling me to ministry, so that’s what I did! While serving a church for 7.5 years I got married, had 2 wild and crazy boys, and purchased a new home. During my time at the church I discovered my love to build things. I started woodworking, building furniture, shelves, and home decor, and took on an apprenticeship with a local artisan to really hone my skills. All the while, I kept thinking that a career in Real Estate would be a perfect intersection of all the things I love to do.
Driven and determined, I am now able to use my craft (shout out to ), I am also able to provide the best service to my clients that a real estate agent can. This is one of the most fun things I’ve made in a long time...maybe because it’s one of the only things I’ve made in a long time 🤷🏼‍♀️. Anyway, it turned out great and is going to look so cute hanging over a bar! ☕️

Demo and framing are complete! We had to frame in an old doorway, cut out and frame out a new opening, move a wall to accommodate a larger mud room area at the back door, and remove kitchen cabinets! Next up is routing ac vents to the back room, adjusting plumbing, and Sheetrock! 👀👀it’s coming!

Walls are down! This allowed so much more light into the eat in kitchen and really changed the feel of the space. More to come!!

Walls are coming down! Today we removed walls, cut a window into a door, hauled trash, and framed out an old door opening. It’s coming along!
