The SPS Student Alliance Board is here to serve the student body and help engage SPS students with the Northwestern community-at-large; to promote communication and a sense of community among SPS students, and to provide networking and social engagement The Student Alliance Board (SAB) of the Northwestern University School of Professional Studies (SPS) is a student organization that represents the
voice of the SPS student body within the greater Northwestern community. The SAB communicates knowledge of Northwestern University affairs such as mentoring, networking, professional development, and career advancement opportunities with SPS students. The SAB promotes and provides the means for student participation in ALL campus affairs; thus, creating a culture of inclusion for SPS students while preserving the values of the university community. SAB is committed to upholding SPS’ longstanding traditions while creating new opportunities for SPS students. The Student Advisory Board is dedicated to maintaining Northwestern University’s Mission Statement (below), and to fostering unity among students with the utmost dignity and respect. The mission of Northwestern University School of Professional Studies is to be the lifelong partner of adult learners who seek a superior educational experience at Northwestern University. SPS strives to be a national leader in continuing education by providing accessibility to learning and exceptional teaching to nontraditional students whose professional and personal obligations affect when and where they may achieve their educational goals. It is through academic excellence, and the creation of diverse educational pathways that SPS serves the lifelong learning needs of its students.
