Can you trust what your eyes see?

The Nancy R. Chandler Lecture Series welcomes neuroscientist Mark R. Pitzer, Ph.D., for “Seeing the Big Picture: How the Brain Manipulates Our Visual World.”

Why do people see different colors in “The Dress”? Why can a ticking clock’s second hand appear to freeze? Through engaging stories and demonstrations, Pitzer will explore how our brains highlight, filter and even alter what we consciously perceive.

For every $1 they invest in their education, COCC students earn $4.40 in higher lifetime earnings.🎓💰

The average COCC associate degree graduate earns approximately $9,000 more annually than someone whose highest level of education is a high school diploma.

The economic impact of COCC begins with something much more personal: an individual deciding to invest in their future.

Greater earning potential can mean more than a bigger paycheck. It can mean greater financial stability, more choices and new possibilities for students and their families.

And when thousands of former COCC students put those skills to work throughout Central Oregon, those individual gains become something much bigger.
