Bike Tech Tip: Check Your Bike Chain Before Every Ride

Your bike chain is one of the most important parts of your bicycle drivetrain, yet it’s often overlooked. Regular bike chain maintenance can improve shifting performance, reduce drivetrain wear, and help prevent costly bicycle repairs. 🚲

Before your next ride:

✅ Wipe dirt and debris from your bike chain
✅ Apply the appropriate bicycle chain lubricant when needed
✅ Check for chain wear before it affects your cassette and chainrings

A well-maintained bike chain helps your bicycle run more efficiently and can extend the life of your bike components. 🤝

This fall, students are back in the lab building the skills that keep people riding. From drivetrain tuning and suspension service to wheel building, diagnostics, and professional shop practices, our Bicycle Technician Program provides hands-on training for careers in the cycling industry. ⚙️

As cycling continues to grow across Northwest Arkansas and beyond, the demand for skilled technicians grows with it.
