So proud to have representation from our division at the Enactus USA National Exposition! 🎉

Faculty member, Jehiah Burchfield and students Marteisha Jones and Kevin Mendoza are there this year soaking it all in and learning from student innovators across the country who are tackling real-world challenges. 💡🌎

They may not be competing this year, but they’re definitely getting inspired, and they’re in the right place to do it.

Did you know right here in Northwest Arkansas, entrepreneurship is thriving. According to a report supported by the Walton Family Foundation, 37.2% of businesses in our region are startups, and startup activity continues to grow faster than the national average. 🚀

Not competing this year… but we have a feeling that might change soon as we continue to grow our chapter! 😉👏 Want info? Email [email protected]!

We celebrated a BIG retirement today! 🎉

After nearly 30 years at NWACC, BCIS Network Administrator, David Miller is officially retiring~what an incredible legacy! 🤗 We kept it festive by wearing suspenders or Hawaiian shirts, David’s favorites! 😀

We’re also sending off two more amazing faculty members, Allen Baker and Lindel Townley, who have meant so much to our department. 💙

We love celebrating our team, so we made sure to give them a fun send-off with gifts, a party, and some special touches!

You’ll all be missed! 🥳

(Some team members aren’t pictured due to classes and other NWACC commitments.)

✈️ Student Spotlight: Wyatt Santone Engledow!

Meet Wyatt, a driven BCIS student earning his Associate of Science in Business Administration with plans to transfer to the UA Walton College of Business and already making a name for himself as an entrepreneur. 💰

Over the past year, Wyatt has been building and running his own business, Pure Aviation Detailing, turning a personal interest into a growing and successful venture. What makes his business stand out? His specialty in aviation detailing, a niche service focused on cleaning and maintaining private aircraft to the highest standards, inside and out. 🛩️

In addition to working with aircraft owners, Wyatt also provides automotive 🏎️ detailing services, allowing him to expand his client base while continuing to refine his skills and grow his brand.

Through this journey, Wyatt has gained real-world experience in:
✔️ Managing client relationships
✔️ Scheduling and operations
✔️ Marketing his services
✔️ Handling business finances

While hands-on experience has been invaluable, Wyatt recognizes the importance of education in long-term success. His business courses are helping him better understand how to scale, manage, and sustain what he’s building while applying concepts like marketing strategy and financial management directly to his work every day.

Balancing school and entrepreneurship isn’t easy, but Wyatt is proving that it’s possible and worth it! 📜

💡 His story is a great reminder: you don’t have to wait until graduation to start building something meaningful. Start now, learn as you go, and let your education strengthen your path.

👏 Be sure to give his business a follow:

We can’t wait to see where Wyatt goes next!

That moment you realize…“Yeahhhh… this semester did NOT start how I planned.” 😳

Maybe a class didn’t work out. Maybe life happened. Maybe motivation went on spring break early.

Good news 👉 you’ve got a reset button!

Second 8-week classes start March 9!

There is plenty of time to jump in, stay on track, and pick up another course.

No judgment. Just solutions.
