Berea College will host a free three-event celebration of The Bucolics Project – a musical collaboration between Kentucky poet Maurice Manning and Vermont composer Brendan Taaffe – on campus in late April. All events are free and open to the public.

Saturday, April 25, 2026
🎤 Singing workshop at Union Church, 1-3 p.m.

It was a wonderfully full weekend for the Berea College Music Department! 🎶

Our community showed up in force for an inspiring carillon workshop led by visiting carillonist Katherine Chen, who filled campus with beautiful sound and shared her expertise with students and guests alike.

We were also honored to have two of our own musicians represented at Mid-Year Commencement:
🎺 Emily Mach offered a stunning trumpet selection, and
🎶 Logan Anglin led the gathering in a heartfelt rendition of Berea Beloved.
