Huge Congratulations to Katherine Maich, who has received the 2017 Cheryl Allyn Miller Award from SWS! Dr. Maich's dissertation, entitled "Domesticating Democracy: Labor Rights at Home in Lima and New York City," comparatively examines domestic workers movements in Lima and New York City, locating issues of gender inequality, domestic labor, and the promise and pitfalls of legal remedies within the historical and present-day contexts of colonialism and racism. Congrats, Kate! We look forward to celebrating with you on Monday, August 14th in Montreal!
