Fung Fellowship Applications Open For Class of 2023 and 2024 Transfers
What is the Fung Fellowship?

UC Berkeley's Fung Fellowship is a unique opportunity for rising juniors and seniors - including incoming transfers - from all majors to create innovative solutions to address real-world health and conservation challenges alongside community and industry partners. Fung Fellows will tackle pressing issues using the iterative human-centered design process, area specific principles, and emerging technology. The Fung Fellowship has two tracks: Health + Tech and Conservation + Tech.

The Fung Fellowship experience:

• Experience the design process from prototype to product
• Embark on a community-based project to gain real-world experience

We invite you to join us for some great events and activities that will take place during the weekend of May 6 to May 8 on and near the UC Berkeley campus as part of Golden Bear Welcome Transfer Weekend.

As part of the larger campus events, the Cal Veteran Services Center and Cal Veterans Group will be hosting a few different events:

Friday May 6, 2022
5:00pm to 7:30pm: Veteran and Military-Connected Community Mixer (Location TBD), appetizers will be provided

Saturday May 7th, 2022
12:00pm to 2:00pm: Veteran and Military-Connected Student Welcome at the Cal Veterans Services Center (102 Hearst Memorial Gym), workshop going over financial aid, VA Education Benefits, housing, and a student Panel. Lunch will be provided
5:00pm to 10:00pm: Cal Veterans Group and Cal Veteran Services Center Hail and Farewell Gala at Riggers Loft (1325 Canal Blvd, Richmond, CA 94804), newly admitted students will be provided tickets free of charge. Business casual attire.

The annual Hail and Farewell is an opportunity for our community to come together and welcome our newly admitted veteran and military-connected students and congratulate our graduating students. We ask that you wear business casual attire, although this should not keep you from coming if you are not able to.

If you will be traveling a great distance to be here, we have limited opportunities for lodging (check-in on Friday, May 6 with check-out Sunday, May 8th), so we hope that you will join us for this great weekend. Lodging is provided on a first come first serve basis. Additionally, you may be sharing a room with another newly admitted student veteran.
