Hispanic Engineers and Scientists UC Berkeley HES is a resource for underrepresented Latinx students in STEM so they can achieve holistic wellness.

HES is a student organization established in 1974 bringing together all Latino student engineers and scientists to promote the advancement of education among underrepresented minority students and to create a support system within Berkeley academia. HES is open to all students of the Berkeley campus who share our devotion to the recruitment and retention of Latino students into higher education.

The Hispanic Engineers and Scientists at UC Berkeley turned 50 this year! We keep photo archives of our members and events dating all the way back to our beginnings. These photos are from an album titled "70s", with no more specific dates being given. It's a piece of our history and we'll continue to share our archives with you all! It's our first time back in 4 years, and its the first event of HES's 50th year anniversary (we were established in 1974)!! Hello everyone! It's time to apply for the Winter Academic Training Camp. The dates are going to be from January 6th-12th. The location will most likely be Ben Lomond Quaker Center in Santa Cruz (ooo so pretty). Please note that priority will be given to first and second years, but do not hesitate to fill out this form if you are not in either of these years. Our goal is to accommodate as many people as possible. We are prioritizing those who are retaking a course or those who feel underprepared for a spring semester course.
