Bioengineering Honor Society The Bioengineering Honor Society at UC Berkeley (BioEHS) On campus, it is best known for hosting the biotechnology career fair.

The Bioengineering Honor Society (BioEHS) aims to advance bioengineering both on the UC Berkeley campus and in the community beyond. It does so through study groups, professional development workshops, community service events, socials, and outreach projects. In the Bay Area, it is known for hosting the Bioengineering High School Competition in the spring. Follow us:

We just wrapped up the 2025 Fall semester with the BioEHS banquet! This semester we had one of our largest Fall candidate cohorts, and we’d like to congratulate all of our successful candidates on officially becoming general members or stepping into their officer roles!

Throughout the semester, we hosted many successful events, including BioEngage, BioE Day, and several new workshops. We are looking forward to our next semester and hope to see everyone at our upcoming BioEHS events!

FA25 has officially wrapped! Last week, all of our committees came together to reflect on the events and community-building moments they brought to the club this semester. It was so cool to hear everyone share the impact of their work and to look back at how far they’ve come this semester.

A huge congratulations to our amazing candidates. As your semester comes to a close, we want to recognize the dedication, energy, and time you put into the club. You should be super proud of all you’ve accomplished this semester! Good job, candidates!

Panelists will share career insights, discuss emerging technologies, and provide helpful tips for students exploring roles in the industry. Attendees will also have the chance to ask questions and network with speakers and peers over dinner.

Sign up to volunteer for BioE Day NOW‼️ BioE Day is on Saturday, December 6th, 9am–4pm. This event is dedicated to introducing high school students to bioengineering through workshops, presentations, lab tours, and more! We need all the help we can get, and any amount of help is very much appreciated. There are multiple time slots available, so even a short shift makes a big difference!

We hosted the first BioEHS Alumni Event!! It was incredible to see alumni reconnect with old friends, create new connections across graduating classes, and share about their journeys after graduating. We had attendees from the first BioEHS cohort in 2002 all the way to our most recent graduates! Our undergraduates also loved having the chance to meet and learn from the alumni as well!

One of the highlights of the day was our memorabilia booth, which featured BioEHS through the years with pamphlets, scrapbooks, and handwritten notes. It was amazing to see alumni rediscovering old memories and even spotting their younger selves in the archives!

A huge thank you to all the alumni who returned to Berkeley to celebrate with us and we’re so glad you guys gave such overwhelmingly positive feedback - the club invested a lot into this event. For the alumni that wasn’t able to make it, we hope to catch you next time. We’re grateful for this community and can’t wait to see current members, graduating seniors, and alumni together again at the next BioEngage!
