HMAP at UC Berkeley

HMAP at UC Berkeley Health and Medical Apprenticeship Program at UC Berkeley. A student-run public health organization tackling current ethical issues in health and medicine.

HMAP is the umbrella organization for three subprograms: Public Health (116), a weekly seminar featuring guest speakers on different public health issues; the Health Service Internship (HSI), where students have an internship at a local public health organization and a weekly discussion section; and the Field Study Internship (FSI) where students shadow a local physician and have a weekly discussi

on section. Together, the three programs expose students to a broad spectrum of experiences and opportunities, covering many facets of health and medicine while emphasizing participatory learning.

HMAP always has fun, whether it be in the classroom, the community, retreats, or banquets!
