WMCC Nursing Program The mission of the Department of Nursing is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, student-centered nursing education.

The fundamental focus exemplifies current clinical and educational evidence-based practice. The nursing program prepares students to provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to diverse individuals, families groups, and communities in acute, long-term, ambulatory, mental health, and other structured settings. As part of the admission process to the Associate Degree Nursing program at WMCC, applicants are required to participate in the Assessment Technologies Institute (𝐀𝐓𝐈 ) Test of Essential Academic Skills (𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐒). The objectives assessed on the 𝐀𝐓𝐈 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐒 exam are those which nurse educators deem most appropriate and relevant to measure entry-level academic readiness of nursing program applicants. In order to be eligible for the nursing program, applicants must earn a Total Score of 60.0% or better.

The 𝐀𝐓𝐈 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐒 exam is computer based. Once an account is created individuals can register and make payment for the 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐒 exam at www.atitesting.com.
