The health insurance waiver and enrollment forms for the 2025/26 Student Health Insurance Plan are available at: https://www.universityhealthplans.com/Lehigh

If you haven't waived or enrolled already, be sure to do so by July 31, or within 10 days of becoming eligible for coverage. Students who do not waiver or enroll may be subject to a $25 late processing fee and their account being placed on hold.

If your total payments (payments plus any financial aid paid to your account) exceed your billed expenses, you may be eligible to receive a refund. Eligible accounts will begin to be reviewed on the 11th day of class (after the drop/add period). Please visit our website to complete the Refund Request Form (https://financeadmin.lehigh.edu/content/refund-requests). Note that the request form must be completed by the student.
Credit balances remaining on student accounts 40 days past the start of the semester will be moved as a credit to the upcoming semester.

Lehigh University is required by the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) to issue tax form 1098-T to any qualified student enrolled during the calendar year.
Our preparation efforts include collection of Taxpayer Identification Numbers from students who do not currently have one on file with the University. A secure DocuSign will be sent to students for this purpose. All students receiving this DocuSign request are encouraged to respond before the document expires.

Students receiving a DocuSign request from us may call our office at 610.758.3160 to verify the validity of this request.

FAQ: Why did you send me a billing notification if my balance is $0?

Just like a credit card statement, your statement balance is a snapshot of all charges and payments for your account during one billing cycle. The Bursar’s Office generates billing statements monthly for all accounts with activity plus any accounts with an unpaid previous billed balance. Whenever you make a payment, you can expect to receive a billing notification the next month.

Now that we've passed the add/drop period, the Bursar's Office has started processing Fall refunds. Students who have a credit balance and would like a refund should complete the Refund Request Form (https://financeadmin.lehigh.edu/content/refund-requests), if they have not done so already. Refund requests are being processed in the order they were received.

Credit balances remaining on student accounts 40 days past the start of the semester will be moved as a credit to the upcoming semester.

You may notice new Account Activity in the eBill Suite as semester charges and credits are accumulated prior to generation of the billing statements. This process takes a few days to complete. Students and their authorized users will receive an email notification once the Fall Billing Statements are generated. Billing Statements for Fall Semester will be generated the week of July 8, with payment due by Aug 1.

Continuing students who have met the Fall eligibility requirements (via registration) and undergrad first year students should be able to make their enrollment or waiver decision online now.

Eligibility details are available on our website at : https://financeadmin.lehigh.edu/HealthInsurance
For continuing students, please allow 1 business day for eligibility data to be sent to UHP's site once you meet the requirements (if you register for classes today, you can enroll or waive tomorrow).

Engineering and Science Fee (for specified students) $790 per year
Who are these "specified students?"
• Students in the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering & Applied Science
• Students enrolled in Arts & Engineering or an Intercollegiate program
• Students in the College of Arts and Sciences who have declared a Science major.

This is a mandatory fee and is automatically applied to the student account based upon the student's curricula. While the fee is often charged at the start of a semester, it may be charged during the semester if the student requests a change to their college, program or major.
