Endicott College: Division of Academic Success The Advising Services Center, Center for Academic Coaching, Center for Accessibility Services, and t We all need support at different times.

Our community is wonderfully diverse in knowledge and talent, but we recognize that no two students learn the same way, react to situations alike, or adjust to college life similarly. The Division of Academic Success, located in the Diane M. Halle Library, provides services and programs to help students become more successful learners and achievers! Our Division includes the Advising Services Center, Center for Academic Coaching, Center for Accessibility Services, and Tutoring & Writing Center

Happy Wednesday! Here are some Senior Words of Wisdom from Connor Sackos:

What advice would you give a first-year student beginning their college journey?

Be patient with the college process and the college journey. You may not think Endicott is your home right away, but if you give it time and take the initiative to find things that interest you on campus, you will be able to look back on your four years and be proud of where you came from.

What advice would you give to any underclassmen?

Get involved in any way you can. There’s something for everyone on this campus and if you feel like there’s something missing here or you haven’t found your people yet I would challenge you to push yourself to get involved.

Could you give any advice about learning during the pandemic?

Take time for yourself. It’s easy to get totally lost in the internship or schoolwork grind and it feels like there’s so much more to do now. Find a healthy outlet that allows you to unplug and completely disconnect from your daily stressors, preferably without a screen.

Any additional advice?

Be kind to one another. I know it’s something that we say so often but now more than ever this is the case. The pandemic has affected our lives in so many challenging ways, you don’t know what the person next you to is going through. You will never forget the people who were unconditionally kind to you.

Happy Wednesday! Here are some Senior Words of Wisdom from Rachel Ambrogio:

What advice would you give a first-year student beginning their college journey?

Don't take any moment for granted. Get involved in whatever interests you. Try to make connections with your professors or other professionals. They are there to help you succeed. Also, explore and utilize the academic services on campus if needed.

What advice would you give to any underclassmen?

Take everything day by day. Remain positive. Don't get too overwhelmed with classes and homework. Create a routine. Set aside time for yourself when needed, and do things with your friends. Enjoy your college experience because it will go by fast.

Could you give any advice about learning during the pandemic?

Many of us have experienced challenges during this time of quarantine and isolation, so find ways to clear your mind. Listen to music, or practice meditation, and get some fresh air. Create an organizational system that works best for you.

Any additional advice?
You will get through, just keep pushing through

Meet Jamie Becker, a member of the Soccer team!

We asked students-athletes where do they see connections between athletics and the time they've spent in any of the Centers here in the Division of Academic Success?

Jamie said: My time as a student-athlete allowed me to succeed not only in the classroom but also in the job world. I was able to shadow the New England revolution media team and now currently work at Duke in the digital media department as an intern. My time in the academic and career center directly led to my success and placing me in such a great position professionally!

Happy Wednesday! Here are some Senior Words of Wisdom from Sara Pollak:

What advice would you give a first-year student beginning their college journey?

Time flies! So take this opportunity you have in college to have fun, go on adventures, and make memories because you only go to college once, take advantage of it!
