Excited to share that our Auxiliary Operations Department here at UNE is growing and we’re looking for an Auxiliary Services Manager to help lead operations at the Danielle Ripich Commons, right in the heart of the beautiful Biddeford campus.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with students, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a real impact on the day-to-day campus experience.

A few highlights of the role:

• Leading daily operations, planning, budgeting, and long-term strategy

• Serving as the main point of contact for building occupants and partners

• Mentoring a team of 20+ Student Building Managers in Leadership roles

• Help to maintain a welcoming, student-centered environment

• Supporting everything from study spaces and student life initiatives to dining flow and community programming

Since adding Amazon Lockers on the first floor of our building along with a second bank on the exterior of the University of New England Harold Alfond Forum in October, 2024, 1,928 packages have been ordered and picked up in these two locations. Utilization goes up each month with 421 being the new monthly high from October, 2025. Please consider using these lockers next time you place an Amazon order - you won't be disappointed!!

Help our friends over at the University of New England Harold Alfond Forum as their team of Student Building Managers work to raise $8,500 to grant a wish to a critically ill child in Southern Maine through their partnership with Make-A-Wish Maine. Online store is open until midnight, this Sunday, 11/9!

🎃 Halloween was in the air at our Danielle Ripich Commons Student Building Manager Monthly Meeting! 👻

Our DRCM SBMs got into the spirit with some pumpkin painting, job-related training, and plenty of laughs along the way. 🍂🖌️

A special shout-out to Bryan, who proved his sweet tooth savvy by guessing closest to the Candy Corn Count with his guess of 427 (545 was the total) and taking home the win! 🍬🏆

We’re proud of this team for balancing hard work with a little seasonal fun — the energy, creativity, and teamwork you bring to the Commons each day makes all the difference! 💙🧡

Come visit us to see it in person and grab a bite to eat from our friends at UNE Dining and Catering or just sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the S**o River. Things are looking good here as we prepare for our Undergrdauate Students to return soon! The new carpet is going in on the 3rd floor of the Commons and we wanted to give a huge thank you to the team in UNE Campus Planning as well as UNE Facilities for all of your hard work!
