The 2023-2024 Great Lakes Region Teams have been announced! Of the 4 Dawgs who were nominated for the teams all 4 of them were selected First-Team All Region! Shows the incredible talent and hard work our guys put in throughout the season! Now we wait patiently to see who is selected as an All-American!

After a very eventful year the Club Dawgs finished the year 5-7. It was a great learning experience for all of the guys involved as well as a year of great accomplishments!

Brendan Mcpharlin PG, #2-
Brendan finished the season ranked 7th in the country in PPG averaging 23.0 PPG. To go along with that amazing feat he averaged 4.42 APG and led the country in FTA while shooting an amazing 84%.
On top of these amazing on-court Brendan has a opportunity to walk-on the GVSU squad this off-season!

Dwynell Benjamin C, #10
Nell was a key piece to the team this season, both offensively and defensively. Throughout this season Nell averaged a double double of 12 PPG and 10.17 RPG (Which ranked him 5th in the country). On top of that Nell recorded a double-double in 8 of the 12 games this season!
Next season we expect Nell to improve in his role and become one of the most dominate not only in our conference but the entire NCBBA!

Damon Preston F, #11-
Throughout the season Damon provided on both offense and defense. Averaging 9 PPG, 8.1 RPG, and 1.3 SPG. He proved himself as a consistent 3 point shooter charting a 6/8 from 3 on his way to his season high 18 points against Notre Dame.
Next season we expect Damon to step into a more productive role offensively to help take the Dawgs to another level!

Other Key Returning Players-
Connor Simmer-
Keep an eye out for this man! Seemingly unguardable in multiple games this year we truly expect Connor to take on the job as one of our prominent scorers! Do not be surprised if he turns into one of the leading scoring next season!
Leon Bonner-
This guy was the definition of a on-ball pest, averaging 2.5 SPG. Next year he'll once against torment other teams offenses.
Eli Watcher-
From battling injuries in pre-season to proving to be a swiss army knife for the team. He is going to provide a huge boost next season with being able to stretch the floor at 6'4 as well as being a defensive anchor for us!

Well it is official! The Ferris State Men’s Club Basketball team has officially been placed in a conference within the NCBBA! We will be playing the Great Lakes - North Conference. This is a huge and great opportunity for us to play some big names schools and play against some great competition.
We are currently looking for anyone that would also be interested in being a potential sponsor for the team as well. Still working on sponsor packages (will be available soon). If interested feel free to message me!
The Club will also have the opportunity to play in a Midwest Region pre-season tournament! Which will allow us to play some out of conference games against other teams around the Midwest/country. The upcoming season should be a absolutely great one and myself and the other members are really looking forward to it!

As of today, the Men’s Club Basketball Team at Ferris State plans to compete in the NCBBA. The NCBBA is a National Organization that allows Clubs to play and compete against each other at a competitive and high level. As it stands now we will compete against other universities from Michigan and the Midwest. These teams include UofM, UofM-Flint, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Notre Dame, Northwestern and DePaul. We are extremely excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to see how the upcoming season goes for us!
