Located in Big Rapids, Mich., we are the Public Relations Student Society of America chapter at Ferris State University. PRSSA is the premiere, pre-professional, organization for public relations students. With more than 11,000 Society members and more than 300 international chapters, PRSSA prepares students to succeed upon entering the PR, business, or communications industry. The Ferris State Un

iversity chapter of PRSSA has direct affiliation with the nation's largest network of PR practitioners, the Public Relations Society of America. Objectives of the Ferris State chapter include the enhancement and understanding of current theories and techniques in public relations and the establishment of personal contacts through working with PR professionals. Membership is open to all students who demonstrate an interest in public relations. Current chapter activities include, but are not limited to, seminars, visits by public relations professionals; participating in our student-led PR firm; and annually attending the PRSSA National Conference.

18 years is in the books at Ferris State University College of Business and Ferris PRSSA.

A bit late, but I didn't want to miss sharing the last day photo of this most excellent group of 341 students - one of the best I've had the pleasure to be with. Over the course of one semester, they wrote more than a dozen press releases, designed a poster, pitched stories, wrote a backgrounder, created a 4-page newsletter with photos and features, filmed-edited a 3-5 minute video, wrote emails, business letters, and presented their work as professionals. I'm so proud of them and deeply grateful for having a vocation I love.

Looking forward to fall 2024 - peace out peeps, and go dawgs! ❤️✌🏼🐶

Wednesday, February 21 - Visit Big Rapids Toppings Frozen Yogurt between 4 - 6 p.m. and mention PRSSA to have a portion of proceeds donated to PRSSA! 🍨

Tuesday, February 27 - Join us from 4 - 6 p.m. in IRC 115 for PR, Peeps & Pizza! Meet PR profs & students, enjoy live music, eat free pizza, and have fun!🍕

Wednesday, February 28 - One of Ferris’s best professional photographers will be set up and taking professional headshots in the IRC, starting at 1 p.m.! More details to come! 📸
