FSU Fishing Club

The club was founded by Dylan Kolitoa - President, Dan Konkle - Treasurer, Matt Sexton, Brianna Raasrio - Secretary, and Bradley Sturrus - Social Media Coordinator. Dylan, Dan, and Matt presented the plan and idea of the fishing club with Chuck Rathbun the advisor of the registered student organization and club sport at Ferris State University in October of 2013.

Since beginning we’ve had teams in every Michigan College Bass Circuit tournament since it started. We are one of the original MCBC schools. Teams from our club have won the first ever collegiate ice fishing national championship in 2015 at the North American Ice Fishing Circuit championship, qualified for the championships for the FLW College Circuit Regional, Bass Central Region, and twice to the Cabela’s/Association of College Anglers National Championship.

The club has grown from the original 8 members to 26 members. The Bulldogs have had the only all female team two years in a row in Michigan.
