Hello! I’m Riann Griffey and from Alpha Class 2020! I am currently advising as a part Finance team for Alpha Delta Pi’s Eta Chapter at The University of Alabama, and we are hosting our Second Annual Assembly Weekend! In celebration of 175 years of Alpha Delta Pi, this event is open to any and all alumnae who would like to attend.

If you are in or near the Tuscaloosa or Birmingham area, or even just wanting to visit for the weekend, please consider joining us! It will be a fun weekend full of service, sisterhood, and special events. The collegians will be working and attending the events, and we will also have tours of the Eta house available.

There are several package options if you’re only able to attend certain events throughout the weekend. This is a wonderful way to support Ronald McDonald House and connect with fellow alumnae.

I would absolutely love to see some of my Kappa sisters there, so please reach out if you have any questions!

Below is a testimony of a current member, Elizabeth Ritchie, who was a recipient of the scholarship:

"My name is Elizabeth Richie, and I am honored to receive the ADPi
Kappa Scholarship. As a rising Junior at Samford, I am a Communication
Sciences and Disorders major with a minor in Disability, Health, and
Physical Activity. I am an involved member in Alpha Delta Pi, serving for
two consecutive years on its nominating committee, living in the house,
and building deep relationships with my sisters. Additionally, I am starting
my third year serving YoungLife Capernaum, a ministry that seeks out
high school students, specifically those with disabilities, to steward and
walk with them through a life with Christ. Serving this ministry has
heavily shaped my time at Samford, connecting me with other sisters who
I serve alongside, and the greater Birmingham community. I would like to
thank my sisters and the community ADPi has consistently provided me
for encouraging me to be a leader in our chapter and everywhere else.
Thank you to the wonderful and generous donors who made this
scholarship possible! I am so excited to see how the Lord will use me in ADPi and Samford this year!”

Our VP of Philanthropy, Victoria Mullen, has developed a WONDERFUL way for alumni to get involved with Kappa Chapter’s newest fundraiser, Hearts on the Table. The girls will be “tabling” and selling donuts to raise extra funds and advertise our event! However the boxes of donuts have to be purchased before we can resell, and what better way than sponsoring a dozen donuts or more! Doing this means more money goes to RMHCA!
