These four groups will be your live entertainment for Night in Manila! Each group has taken tradition and flair to add a beautiful and memorable performance this side of UAB! 🪩

Whether it’s our infamous girl group New Bituin,or our star studded band The Talas, you are sure to clap your hands and sing along! (if you know the words 🤩- if not just say watermelon, we wont judge you 🍉)

🌆It’s official everyone! Night in Manila is back this Spring! 🌄

Our annual cultural is back, bringing a little piece of Manila to UAB! Come hang out and experience Filipino culture through a mix of traditional and modern performance. We’ll have Tinikling, our Muslim newlyweds’ dance Pindulas, modern dance numbers, and a live band! In addition, we will provide a variety of traditional and classic Filipino dishes!

This night is one to celebrate with friends and family, your fellow kababayan, and Fil-O! 🇵🇭✨✨

Fil-O would love to present you the 2025 T-Shirt!

Translation on back: “You are the light in my darkness, the answer to my questions”

Inspired by the harana, this shirt honors a Filipino tradition of courtship through music. During the Spanish colonial era, young men, or haranistas, would arrive outside a household early in the night, announce themselves with “Mayroon po!”, and serenades their love interests to express admiration and romantic intentions.

The harana blends music, poetry, and community that ultimately reflects the deep Filipino values of respect, love, and connection.

These shirts are up for pre-order until NOVEMBER 29TH!

For the past two month, the Philippines have been victim to these intense Typhoons weather. Opong, Tino (Kalmaegi), and Uwan (Fung-Wong) have caused hundreds of deaths, hundreds of people missing, millions displaced, and billions of “₱” in damages.

The Filipino people have had their lives uprooted, their homes have been washed away under many feet of water, and their belongings blown away as their roofs were torn away from winds.

In 2025, the Philippines was rated as the most vulnerable to flooding (Gulla, 2025). They are not foreign to this list and consistently at the top 3.

All this to say, the Philippines does not receive the help it needs. Its government has made cuts to their relief funding and failed to warn people of these storms in a way that counted. It is a betrayal to its people and something should be done to help our fellow kababayan.

All we ask is a donation, it can be as small or as big as you are able to. All funds will go to relief projects that instantly turn the money into food, water, and resources that our people need.
