Qualifications:
-Minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of employment (and maintained throughout employment
-Minimum of 30 semester hours (sophomore status) completed by summer 2013
-Registered for a minimum of 9 undergraduate-level hours or 5 graduate-level hours fall and spring term
-Minimum of one semester's residency in UAB Student
Housing preferred, but not required
-Must be in good judicial standing with the University
Additional Requirements:
-Must commit to an entire academic year (fall and spring)
-Be on campus approximately 2 weeks prior to fall check-in for staff training and and preparation for fall opening
-Remain on campus after semester exams to complete job duties
-Take on-call responsibilities during the semester as well as during the holiday breaks
-Must be able to attend weekly building staff meetings, monthly all staff meetings, and 1 on 1's scheduled with the RLC
-Recognize that the RA position is your primary out-of-class obligation and agree not to commit to other time-consuming activities that create a conflict of interest with your RA position.
-Attend all training activities and meetings as scheduled, not limited to fall training, spring training, and participating in staff selection process.
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Excellent time management skills
