Judge Hugh Locke Honor Society

Judge Hugh Locke Honor Society The official honor society of Birmingham School of Law. The Judge Hugh Locke Honor Society was formed in 2013.

The purpose of the Society is to broaden the field of legal knowledge; to preserve, improve, and safeguard the standards of the legal profession; to foster friendship and comradeship among the members of the organization; and to promote the moral, intellectual, and professional well-being and to further the welfare of the students of the Birmingham School of Law. The Society meets monthly and is m

ade up of full time students who maintain a 3.0 GPA and commit themselves to active service in furtherance of the goals of the society. Members of the Honor Society serve as Honor Court, serve and assist during school functions such as graduation and alumni events, serve the student body through academic services and social events, and serve the community through outreach and educational programs. The Honor Society also publishes a newsletter several times throughout the year. The newsletter is made up of both social and academic articles written, edited, and published by active members of the Honor Society and offered free to all students at Birmingham School of Law.
