Happy National Bosses Day to the Chair of the Music Department Dennis Gowen!
Fun fact, this is his 40th year with the Music Department.
Thanks for everything you do for us!

We truly have some talented faculty! On Oct. 3 Dr. Brian Lydeen, Dr. Lucas Bernier, and Darren King (our double bass professor) performed with the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Beverly Everett
This week, Dr. EunAe Lee performed at Carnegie Hall with ChengCheng Ma.
We are so proud of our faculty for continuing their love of music outside of our university.

We had a Music Department Showcase this past Sunday for tour high school students from the Minneapolis/St. Paul and Denver area. We featured our Chamber Ensemble Groups along with Concert Choir, Steel Band, and our Piano Duo. Not pictured is our Woodwind Quintet as the photographer had to play with the group.
Great job to all that performed!

This weekend with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra we had so many representing the Music Dept. Between faculty, staff, current students, and alumni our very own Professor Tonya Nagel Mertz was featured on an English horn piece called Blades of Grass.
Great job to all that performed!
