Today Monica and Amy were invited to the Commissioning Ceremony for MAOP student, Will Boyd as an Ensign in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corp. It was an honor to be in attendance of such a fine scholar. Will earned his BA in Animal and Poultry Science, here at Virginia Tech and is currently working on his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine as well as a Masters of Publich Health. He will be working with the USDA and finishing his education here at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.

Yesterday we celebrated with our MAOP students and their peers in the Donning of the Kente Achievment Ceremony. Our very own Senija Davis, spoke to her peers with congratulating and encouraging words, along with a special roll call of sorority and fraternities within the organizations. We congratulate and wish each one of our students and their peers a successful journey! Remember, MAOP is always family!

Anyone who speaks in front of an audience in any situation and wants to learn how to do so with confidence while leaving a lasting impression needs to be a part of this workshop.
This workshop is $269 per person and will be held in-person at the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center on Feb. 10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (with an hour for lunch).

It's the night before a presentation at work or a job interview. You're feeling anxious; you have butterflies in your stomach and you're worried your performance will suffer because of it.
