ries. Choose from Applied Agricultural Management where you can focus on agribusiness, crop production, or livestock production or Landscape and Turf Management where you can focus on landscape or golf/sports turf management.

Students in our Landscape Practicum class gained valuable hands-on experience thanks to industry partners Valley Landscaping and Carter Machinery. Following a safety discussion and equipment tutorial, students had the opportunity to operate a compact track loader with a bucket, a compact track loader with forks, a mini excavator, and a mini track loader.

Special thanks to hosts Matt Weddle, Kyle Patterson, Leon Smith, Thomas McCann of Valley Landscaping, and Chris Dixon of Carter Machinery for sharing their expertise and helping prepare the next generation of landscape professionals!

We're proud to share this Virginia Cooperative Extension spotlight on Livvy Preisser ('11), whose A.A.S. in Agriculture Technology served as a foundation for a career dedicated to Virginia agriculture and communities.

After continuing her education, Livvy became an Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent where she connects producers, youth, and communities with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

From the classroom to the course. ⛳

Agricultural Technology students helped design and construct a new golf course green and tee box at Virginia Tech, working side-by-side with industry partners and campus professionals.
