Delta Kappa Epsilon - Sigma Alpha Chapter The fraternity was founded as Delta Kappa Sigma on April 21, 1941. It was the first fraternity to form at Virginia Tech.

Becoming a founding member of the Interfraternity Council of Virginia Tech, DKS applied to Delta Kappa Epsilon International in 1970.
