What happens when students from engineering, science, and business come together to solve real-world problems?

You get ventures like Sentivity.ai 🧡

Through Pamplin’s Apex Center for Entrepreneurs and the Startup Hokies Incubator program, the student-led team recently competed in both the ACC InVenture Prize Competition and the Rice Business Plan Competition, earning a place among the top 15 student ventures in the country and becoming the first all-Virginia Tech student team to achieve this distinction.

These national competitions showcased more than innovative technology. They highlighted the power of collaboration, experiential learning, and the incredible opportunities students can gain through hands-on experiences at Virginia Tech.

35+ student-led business organizations mean Pamplin students have countless opportunities to get involved, build connections, and grow as leaders outside the classroom 🧡

Across campus, students are managing teams, launching ideas, building professional experience, and creating communities around shared interests and career goals. These experiences help shape confidence, leadership, and lifelong connections long before graduation.

This kind of involvement is a core part of Pamplin+, our innovative undergraduate experience designed to prepare students for their careers on day one. Explore how Pamplin+ is shaping the future of business inside and outside the classroom: https://go.vt.edu/35orgfb

As artificial intelligence continues to transform education and the workplace, Pamplin faculty are helping lead important conversations about what the future of learning should look like.

In a recent Times Higher Education feature, Pamplin’s Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Michelle Seref, shares insights on how colleges and universities can rethink student assessment in an AI-driven world. Rather than focusing only on AI detection, the piece explores how educators can better evaluate critical thinking, decision-making, adaptability, and the intentional use of AI tools, skills that are increasingly valued by employers.

We’re proud to see Pamplin represented in global conversations shaping the future of higher education and preparing students for what comes next. 🧡
