We had a fantastic time at our VTCC Golf Tournament hosted by the Highty-Tighties! It was a great time for everyone. Many thanks to Chuck Rowell for his help promoting this event and organizing the teams. And, a huge shout out to the VT Bookstore for providing branded prizes for the winners!

Today, they took the oath—stepping into a calling bigger than themselves. We congratulate our cadets who commissioned into the U.S. military and we are proud of their service, leadership, and commitment to something greater.

Corps alumni, especially those in the Blacksburg area--

The VTCC golf tournament will take place on 29 May in Riner, VA; that’s about 15 minutes from Blacksburg. It’s open to all alumni and friends of the Corps. Each participant will receive a swag bag, and we’ll have some excellent door prizes.

You say you’re not good at golf? None of us are! But we're still gonna be there. Please join us. Here’s the registration link:

Please join us for the 5th Annual Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets golf tournament, hosted by the Highty-Tighty Alumni Association. The tournament will be held on May 29, 2026, at the Auburn Hills Golf Club in Riner, VA--that's about 20 minutes south of Blacksburg.

As our Global Scholars cohorts prepare for travel, we want to thank retired U.S Air Force Col. Stephen Hughes ’89, Director of Plans and Policy for the Defense POW/MIA Accountability Agency (DPAA), for joining the cadets of the Global Scholars program last month to share DPAA’s mission to “provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.” Col. Hughes’ presentation is a timely reminder of the commitment the nation has to our servicemembers as our Global Scholars prepare to walk the battlefield of Normandy, France later this month.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026, whose years in the Corps were marked by early mornings, long days, and steady, hard-earned growth. Being a cadet is demanding by design. They met that challenge head-on, developing discipline, character, and a deep sense of responsibility to others.

Now, the Class of 2027 carries that legacy forward. We are excited to see where they take the regiment.
