In support of the International Street Fair, Spring Open House, and Ut Prosim Weekend, several parking areas on the Blacksburg campus will be closed or restricted beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, April 24.

Parking impacts include:
➡️ Alumni Mall: All spaces on both sides of Alumni Mall, plus 17 Drillfield Drive spaces between the Chapel and Eggleston Hall, will close from 5 p.m. Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26. Vehicles must be removed by 6 p.m. Friday, April 24, or may be ticketed and towed.

➡️ Architecture Annex Lot: Closed from 5 p.m. Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26.

➡️ Upper Stanger Lot: Closed from 5 p.m. Friday, April 24, through 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26.

➡️ Price Hall Lot: Closed from 5 p.m. Friday, April 24, through Saturday, April 25.

Please plan ahead and move vehicles before the posted closure times.

Join us Friday, February 13, for Winter Bike to Campus Day as Virginia Tech celebrates alongside International Winter Bike to Work Day.

Bike to work, class, or wherever the day takes you and show your Hokie spirit by choosing two wheels over four.

Stop by the Winter Bike to Campus Day pit stop at the Hokie Bike Hub (Transit Center) from 7:30–11:30 a.m. for warm drinks, free food, giveaways, and winter biking tips.

Parking passes will be checked for today’s Hokies men’s basketball game vs. Duke. Snow conditions are still causing congestion in some lots, and safety remains our top priority.

If your assigned lot reaches capacity, complimentary parking will be available in Lot 5.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and stay safe getting to the game.

Virginia Tech’s new Transit Center is already making a big difference on campus. Blacksburg Transit ridership is up, service is smoother, and more Hokies are choosing sustainable ways to get around. The opening of the Transit Center in June 2024 marked the first major redesign of Blacksburg Transit’s service on the Blacksburg campus since its founding in 1983.

Virginia Tech Homecoming Parade Road Closure: October 3

The Virginia Tech Homecoming Parade will be held on Friday, October 3 from 6:45-8pm. The parade route will go from Beamer Way to Washington Street to South Main Street and will end at Alumni Mall. Beginning at 6:30pm, Washington Street and South Main Street will be closed and will re-open at the conclusion of the parade.
