The Society for Ricoeur Studies is having its annual conference “POLITICS, RELIGION, and CULTURAL HERMENEUTICS" starting this Tuesday until Sunday this week. The conference is entirely online. You're invited to the Rhetoric, Writing, and Communication program VP Debate Viewing Party!

Thanks to the hard work of Kurt Zemlicka, Scot Barnett, John Arthos, and Annamarie Carlson, there will be a Vice Preisdential debate viewing tomorrow night beginning at 8:30 pm.

Kurt will be hosting a pre-debate conversation beginning at 8:30pm. The debate is then scheduled for 9:00pm to 10:30pm. And then Kurt will host a Q&A session until 11:30pm.

Please join us in congratulating IU Rhetoric PhD Rudo Mudiwa, whose dissertation, “The Pr******te as Citizen: mobile women, urban space, and the threat of disorder in Zimbabwe” has been awarded the 2019 Dissertation Award from the American Society for the History of Rhetoric! The award will be presented on Saturday, November 16 at 9:30, at the ASHR Business Meeting at the National Communication Association Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
