We're back!(Albeit slightly late) We just had an incredible opening weekend of ochestra concerts!

The IU Concert Orchestra led the way with an incredible performance of Strauss' epic "An Alpine Symphony" alongside G.L. Frank's "Apu"

Thr Philharmonic Orchestra(not pictured) followed on Saturday with their performance of "Die Walkure" from Wagner's infamous "Ring Cycle".

Closing out the weekend, the Symphony Orchestra gave an outstanding performance of Beethoven's "Symphony No. 7" and Hailstork's "Symphony No. 1".

Bravo to all involved in creating an incredible opening weekend of ensemble performances, especially our IU trumpeters! 🎺🎺🔥🔥

We enjoyed our IU Trumpets Labor Day picnic tonight. We look forward to a great year ahead!! Go Hoosiers!

On Saturday, April 26th 2025, current and former students, friends, and family came together to celebrate the retirement of IU trumpet professor, John Rommel.

Professor Rommel gave 32 years to IU and has dispersed an immense amount of knowledge on trumpet playing and life skills to countless young musicians. He has left an incredible legacy and his presence will be missed by the school as a whole. For everything you have done and will continue to do for the music world - thank you, Professor Rommel!!
