In the summer of 2013, IUOS began development of the Sustainability Peer Educator Program (SPEP) to employ and train undergraduate students to serve their peers who might not otherwise self-select into sustainability programming. In February 2014, four peer educators were hired for the 2014-2015 academic year. In May 2014, they each earned 1 SPEA credit-hour for their training in communications, b

ehaviors psychology, and pedagogy. For the 2014-2015 academic year, the target audiences will be the IU residence centers and the Greek Community. The initial lesson topics will be "Consumption and Waste Minimization" and "Energy Conservation." This page should serve as an outreach point for individual students, organizations, departments, faculty, and administrators to learn more about living sustainably at IU. Ask questions, give feedback, and ask a peer educator to come deliver a lesson or workshop on campus or in the Bloomington community!
