The Undergraduate Religious Studies Association (URSA) will be holding their annual kickoff party tonight, Thursday, Sept 14, from 6:30-8:00pm In the School for Global and International Studies, Room GA4067. For the past 8 years, the Undergraduate Religious Studies Association (URSA) has hosted a spring symposium. The symposium’s central aim is interdisciplinary conversation about religion. Students from across the humanities—Anthropology, Area Studies, English, Comparative Literature, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Sociology, etc.—were welcome to participate. This year, eight participants from universities across the U.S., including Harvard, Virginia, Georgetown, Oberlin, Brown and Indiana presented. Prof. J. Kameron Carter provided the keynote address, titled “Scriptural Whiteness; or, On U.S. Political Theology.”
