What an unforgettable evening at the third annual Rezzys!

Hosted by the Normandale Community College Foundation, the Rezzys bring scholars and donors together to celebrate the impact of scholarships. The event honors retired founding faculty member Don Reznicek, the Foundation’s first‑ever donor. His commitment sparked a culture of philanthropy that continues today.

Happy Earth Day! 🌎

At Normandale, we are incredibly fortunate to have a beautiful Japanese Garden on campus.

The garden’s doors are now open and the blossoms are beginning to emerge. 🌸 Today, we honor Normandale’s Japanese Garden, the lessons of peace and reconciliation it holds, and the community that makes its care possible.

Students from Normandale’s award‑winning Intercultural Communication in Cuba Academic Travel program recently shared their spring break experience through a Cuban Culture Museum on campus.

Thanks to the support of our community, the Normandale Foundation is able to offer a variety of student scholarships throughout the year, including the Academic Travel Scholarships, helping provide students with opportunities to see the world, gain new perspectives, and grow through global learning.

Normandale students from the Politics and Law Club recently returned from an International Model United Nations conference where they earned an Honorable Mention Delegation Award, competing among 2,500+ students from around the world. Normandale was also one of just three community colleges represented.

For many students, this was their first experience at a conference of this scale, and one of the week’s highlights was the Closing Ceremony held inside the United Nations General Assembly Hall.

Way to go, Normandale delegates! 👏✨

Meet Rita Duran, a dedicated Normandale nursing student whose path forward has been shaped by scholarship support.

“Receiving financial scholarships means a lot to me. Nursing school is demanding, both academically and financially, so scholarships help relieve some of that stress. It allows me to focus more on my studies rather than worrying as much about financial barriers. It also motivates me to keep working hard and reminds me that there are people who believe in students like me and want to support our success.”

Last week, Normandale’s Alumni Engagement Specialist and Annual Giving Manager joined the College Transfer Fair to connect with students and introduce our brand‑new Alumni Engagement Program! 🎉

Students stopped by our table to spin the prize wheel and test their knowledge with trivia questions about Normandale, alumni, and the impact of the Foundation’s work.

We loved hearing students share their future plans and excitement for what lies ahead after Normandale. Thank you to everyone who visited us! We can’t wait to continue building a strong, vibrant alumni community.
