As universities in the US enter the application season, I am announcing that I will retire from teaching at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University at the end of this academic year, with spring 2026 as my final semester!
This decision comes after much reflection about the quick passage of time and the importance of spending the “blink of an eye” that is life, with family, friends and engaging in activities that bring the most joy! I will continue to perform as a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, playing some of the greatest music ever written, with one of the most storied arts institutions in history, in a city like no other!
