You’ve seen them in some of our pictures, but we’d like to pause and formerly introduce you to Avery Eichelberger and Liliana “Lili” Kuttenkuler who has joined us this summer via a partnership with the University of Missouri - Kansas City’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences! Their stay with us has been generously funded by a Mellon Grant that UMKC received to place interns and we truly appreciate this amazing opportunity! We’ve certainly been keeping Avery and Lili busy with a variety of archival and center related tasks to build their skill sets, but also have included interactive events such as the Juneteenth celebration and the Indiana Youth Film Festival on their itinerary! Being able to see the behind-the-scenes activities and production of such major events has been invaluable! They’ve already met and talked with many filmmakers, videographers, writers, directors, photographers, and more! We’re so excited for all they’ll see and be able to do throughout July!
