Happy New Year, friends! We hope you can join us on Wednesday, January 17th at the Hansen Student Center for the 20th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Teach-in!

This event explores social justice topics related to Dr. King's legacy and promotes dialogue among the attendees and speakers. Join us as we explore "Bending the Arc Toward Justice" from our three outstanding featured speakers. There will be time for Q& A after each speaker's presentation.

This is Dr. Marie Van Brittan Brown, the inventor of the FIRST home security system. Dr. Brown named the system the Home Security System Utilizing Television Surveillance. Dr. Brown’s security system is the basis for which all security systems have been created; they’ve added to Dr. Brown’s initial features such as video monitoring, remote-controlled door locks, push-button alarm triggers, instant alerts to police and security enforcers, and two-way voice communication. ALL security systems have been built off of Dr. Brown’s model. Black excellence at its finest!
