Just received the following:

I’m reaching out to share an opportunity for your Criminal Justice students to gain real-world experience while earning pay. Our team is currently staffing Rhythm & Roots 2026, a large annual event, and we are looking to bring on reliable students to assist with event security.

This opportunity would allow students to:

Gain hands-on experience in a professional security environment
Work alongside experienced security personnel
Build practical skills relevant to their field of study
Earn paid compensation for their time
We believe this could be a great fit for students interested in law enforcement, public safety, or event security, and a valuable addition to their experience outside the classroom.

If you’re open to sharing this opportunity with your students, I’d be happy to provide additional details regarding scheduling, pay, and expectations.

Thank you for your time, and I appreciate any support in helping connect students with this opportunity.

Best regards,

I am proud to announce that the associates of applied science in criminal justice degree is now fully online with no set meeting times and flexible due dates. This program is designed for working adults who are already in the field to study.

If you are POST certified, we will give you 15 credit hours towards the 60 credit hour degree program. If you are in corrections and have correctional Academy time, we will also give you prior learning assessment credit. This is a great way to finish your degree.

As an added incentive, if you’re at least 24 years old and do not have a Fire degree or certificate, you may be eligible for Tennessee reconnect meaning this degree will cost you nothing.

Please feel free to reach out to me for questions in regards to this program and spread the word.

Interesting history.

Interesting history.

They buried Clyde fast.
Too fast.

His family claimed him before the blood had even dried — before the dust settled on that Louisiana road. But Bonnie? She was left behind… and the newspapers got to her first.

Dallas couldn’t look away. A line stretched for blocks, thousands passing her coffin just to see what remained. Not the outlaw with the smirk and the gun — just a girl in a silk dress, broken and still. No Clyde. No legend. Just the end.

She had one final request:
“Bury me beside Clyde.”
Not fame. Not forgiveness. Just him.

But the world doesn’t grant softness to women it calls dangerous. Her family refused. The state refused. So they buried her alone — miles from Clyde, miles from the myth they created together.

And still… people never separated them. Every flower left at Clyde’s grave carried one for her. Every story spoke their names as one. Every image of that bullet-riddled car whispered the same truth: you can kill the bodies, but not the legend.

Bonnie knew how it would end. She didn’t fear dying — she feared being without him.

So when the guns flashed, she didn’t run. She didn’t beg. She stayed exactly where she chose to be:

Beside Clyde.

Till the last breath.

They buried her alone.
But history never did.

Bonnie and Clyde. Always together.

Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training is a 40-hour, evidence-based program designed to train law enforcement officers in responding safely and compassionately to mental health crises. Based on the "[Memphis Model]," it aims to reduce injuries, divert individuals from jail to treatment, and enhance officer communication skills through role-playing and expert training.

A Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) program is an innovative, community-based approach to improve the outcomes of these encounters.
