📆 DEADLINE: April 1, 2026
ELIGIBILITY
📚 Award amount must be used for tuition and fees to attend an approved, accredited community college or skills training program for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
📚 Applicants must enroll and remain in good standing in a technical curriculum and/or skills training program that could qualify them to be employed or advance in a manufacturing career.
📚New applicants must either be a high school senior within Marshall County, an employee of an MCMA member company, or a student in an accredited skills training program at Snead State
Community College or Marshall Technical School.
📚 The scholarship may be renewable for additional years, providing the recipient re-applies.

The Alabama Community College System (ACCS) and the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) have continued their partnership to offer additional scholarships for residents interested in pursuing careers in the state's automotive manufacturing industry.


The $4,000 scholarships will cover tuition, books, and fees and are available to students enrolled in an eligible Alabama community college program for the 2026 summer and fall semesters.


Eligible programs include: Mechatronics, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Machining/Machine Tool/CNC, Automotive Service Technology, Robotic Welding Technology, and Engineering Technology.


To qualify, students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be enrolled in one of the listed programs. Dually enrolled high school students are not eligible.


Applications can be submitted online through the Dream It, Do It website at: https://www.dreamitdoitalabama.com/aama/

The deadline for applications is Friday, March 27, 2026.

Snead State is excited to announce the Summer and Fall 2026 Dual Enrollment Scholarship will cover any TWO courses, including tuition, fees, and Parson BooksPlus! 🎉

Student financial aid will be applied to student accounts for spring term and spring mini 1 term tomorrow; student refunds will be processed by the business office on the refund date published on the academic calendar.

Due to the potential for icy road conditions on Monday, January 26, Snead State Community College will transition to a virtual learning day for all campuses. Students should check Canvas for any class assignments. Employees will be allowed to work remotely.
