On May 5th, we celebrated 47 nursing graduates at our RN Pinning Ceremony. The ceremony marked an important milestone in their journey to become registered nurses and honored their dedication and perseverance.

During the ceremony, two graduates were also recognized for their outstanding achievements. Jaylin Ezekiel received the Academic Excellence Award for earning the highest GPA in second-year Nursing courses. Crismary Terrero was this year’s recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award for providing exceptional patient care.

We are proud of all that our graduates have accomplished and are excited to see the impact they will make as they begin their nursing careers. Congratulations to the Snead State Registered Nursing Class of 2026! 🎓🩺💙💛

The 2026 Snead State RN Pinning Ceremony is less than one week away! 🩺🎉

Join us at Plunkett Wallace Gymnasium on Tuesday, May 5th as we celebrate our RN graduates. The pinning ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm. Our faculty and staff look forward to seeing all that our graduates will accomplish in their careers as registered nurses.

Snead State Nursing is now accepting applications for our new stand-alone practical nursing (PN) program!

Interested in learning more?
🩺 Applications are being accepted now through May 15th to join our Fall 2026 cohort.
🩺 The program can be completed in three semesters.
🩺The program will be offered on-campus, with students completing their clinical hours in area hospitals and long-term care facilities.
🩺Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam to practice as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).

⭐️ Scholarships are available for our first cohort!! ⭐️

This is our third cohort of nurse apprentices who will have the opportunity to earn pay while gaining hands-on experience with a nurse mentor. Just one of many success stories to come through the Snead State Nursing Program!

A decade ago, Sierra Moore joined Encompass Health Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital with experience as a certified nursing assistant and a big heart for care. For 10 years, she’s been a cornerstone of our team. In 2020, she became a licensed practical nurse. In 2025, she crossed the finish line to become a registered nurse! Sierra accomplished all of this while being a full-time single mom to three amazing children. She studied after bedtime, persevered through challenges and never lost sight of her goal. Her compassion inspires us every day. Congratulations, Sierra! Your Encompass Health family is so proud of you.
