This significant week serves as an opportunity to pay tribute to the brave men and women in law enforcement who selflessly dedicate their lives to protecting and serving their communities and our colleges.

If you happen to see any police officer today be sure to take a moment to thank them for their service.

Also, a special thank you goes to our Snead State campus police officers for their dedication and service to our facility, staff, students, and all those who are a part of our Snead State Community College family.

Snead State Community College will continue to have virtual learning days for students on Thursday, January 18, and Friday, January 19. Snead State employees will report to work Thursday, January 18, and Friday, January 19, for normal business hours as travel conditions allow.

Employees are advised to use extreme caution and good judgment regarding the road conditions where they live. They should contact their supervisors if issues arise.

Due to continued hazardous weather/travel conditions in our area, Snead State Community College will have another virtual learning day on Wednesday, January 17. All campus locations will continue to be closed through Wednesday, BUT college operations will continue remotely and class assignments will be posted virtually. Students should monitor their Blackboard accounts and student emails for virtual learning assignments.

Due to a winter weather warning for our area as well as the threat of hazardous road conditions, Snead State Community College will shift to a virtual learning day for Tuesday, January 16. The FBI stopped by the Snead State Community College campus on Friday to recognize Chief Pollard in his achievement as becomming the college’s first Chief of Police.
