Autism Speaks History:

Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism. Since then, Autism Speaks has grown into the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for th

e needs of individuals with autism and their families. We are proud of what we've been able to accomplish and look forward to continued successes in the years ahead. (AutismSpeaks.org)

We were honored to be in a video that was shown at the Appalachian State vs. Coastal Carolina basketball game that took place this past Saturday! Autism Speaks Coaches Powering Forward was created in 2014 to raise awareness for individuals with autism. Today, around 400 NCAA coaches wear the Autism Speaks blue puzzle-piece pins during televised games in the month February :) !
