Appalachian State University Trail Crew

Appalachian State University Trail Crew Hey everyone! We work with different organizations around the area in these efforts. No experience necessary.

We are a student-run volunteer club that works on trails in and around Boone, NC to help keep them open, or to help build them from scratch so that they can open. We work hard and we have a good time doing it! This club is a great way to get to know other ASU students who have the same interests in the great outdoors you do, and an easy way to get some community service hours under your belt! If anyone is interested in joining our group shoot us an email!

Due to the winter weather, we believe it is best to cancel the interest meeting for club leadership positions. While we are aware things are clearing up, our primary goal is for everyone to be safe. If you are still interested, please email us at: [email protected] to let us know.

The Crew made one last trip of Spring 17 out to visit Bob Peoples at the Kincora hostel and work with the Tennessee Eastmen on a section of the Appalachian Trail. Thanks to the members who braved the rain all day!

Another wonderful work day! Thank you everybody for the hard work. These are the before and after pictures of the switchback we put in!

We added a switchback and did some other maintenance at Cove Creek!
