AppState DECA Appalachian State DECA members strengthen business skills through community services events. ASU DECA strives to support our community in many capacities!

DECA is a nationally recognized organization of marketing students. These students are by no means all in the business field. Members aspire to be the best of the best. Members learn credible skills and values to incorporate into their daily lives and their professional manner. DECA is a world renown organization with large corporate sponsors such as: Coca-Cola, Otis Spunkmeyer, Marriott Hotel, an

d Men's Wearhouse. DECA focuses on helping students develop their professional persona and creating a networking system to use in their lives after school. If you believe that DECA has nothing to offer you, YOU'RE WRONG!!! Marketing is an essential skill everyone needs to take advantage of. Like most, you may assume its all about selling, but there's much more to it than that. When you place your self in a job interview and you begin to talk about yourself and what you bring to the table, that is marketing! You're selling yourself to that corporation. DECA will help you develop your interpersonal skills, perfect resumes, practice interviews, and so much more. Did we mention that DECA competes in competition across the Nation!
