Join us for a drop-in poster session with Studio Archibene, the architects leading the Belk Library Master Plan project.

Explore proposed floor plan concepts and 3D renderings for all five floors of Belk Library. Each floor will feature two design options (A & B), and attendees are encouraged to share feedback, ask questions, and discuss ideas with the project team.

This is an informal, open-house style session — stop by anytime during the event!
💡 The proposed concepts are informed by:
• Library use data
• Student and faculty surveys/focus groups
• Campus listening sessions
• Library staff workshops
• Campus master plan analysis
• Industry best practices

✅ Free and open to all
✅ No registration required
Your feedback will help guide the final recommendations and phased implementation plans coming later this summer.

Today, Appalachian State University is closed in recognition of Memorial Day and the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country and our freedoms.

The university remembers and honors the students, faculty, staff and alumni who gave their lives while in service to our country. The names of the fallen are inscribed on a memorial plaque next to the B.B. Dougherty Administration Building in the heart of the Boone campus.

Congratulations to our 2026–2027 University Libraries Scholarship recipients! ✨

This year, the University Libraries awarded 31 scholarships — the largest class of recipients since the program began in 2008. Thanks to the generosity of our library supporters and friends, we were able to recognize a record number of outstanding student employees for their hard work, dedication, and academic achievement.

From returning scholarship recipients to prestigious endowment award winners and new scholarship honorees, we are incredibly proud of each student and the impact they make within our library community every day.

Congratulations to our Spring 2026 graduating student employees! 🎓📚

This semester marks one of the largest graduating classes we’ve celebrated in many years, and we could not be more proud of all that these students have accomplished during their time with the University Libraries.

🕒 Hours:
• Belk Library: Mon–Fri 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• Music Library: Mon–Fri 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Hickory Library: Mon–Fri 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• All libraries CLOSED weekends + Memorial Day (May 25)
