The Appalachian State Chapter of Executive Impact is the graduate business club where students are able to network with each other at socials, give back to the community through volunteering and fundraising, and participate in various other events that enrich their careers. In her role, she leads strategic HR initiatives that support employee development, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning. She partners closely with leaders across the business to strengthen talent pipelines, enhance employee engagement, and align people strategies with organizational goals. This month's alumni spotlight is Ashley Hawkins
Ashley graduated with the Class of 2015 and now works as a Documentation Specialist at Moltox. In her role, Ashley initiates ECRs, writes SOPs as needed, and maintains electronic document files. She also develops and evaluates improvements to documentation procedures and processes, while assisting with ISO 9001 certification and compliance, ensuring quality and efficiency across operations.

Reflecting on her MBA experience, Ashley emphasized how the program broadened her understanding of sustainability, not just as environmental stewardship, but as a company’s ability to remain relevant and adaptable in today’s economy. She credits this perspective with shaping her approach to business and continuous improvement.

This month's alumni spotlight is Jeff Hardy! Jeff graduated with the MBA Class of 2020 and recently started a new role as a Senior Clinical Specialist at Indivior in August 2025. In this position, Jeff works to advance clinical solutions that support patient care and treatment outcomes, leveraging his expertise to build strong partnerships and deliver impactful results in the healthcare space.

Reflecting on his MBA experience, Jeff shared: “The value of my MBA is in the confidence I now have processing big picture concepts and the associative data, to create insight-driven workflows resulting in more engaging joint value creation with my customers. I often have to just ‘Hard Stop’ in Excel because I’ve drilled down beyond my need and become more curious about what additional value the data can reveal.”
