Ready to become a Mountaineer? 🏔️ Applying early can help you make the most of your App State application!
📅 First-Year Students: Submit your application and all supplemental materials by November 15 to receive guaranteed consideration for most university scholarships.
Interested in Competitive Scholarships or Honors opportunities? After you submit your Common App, you’ll gain access to your MyMountaineer Portal, where you can complete the additional scholarship essays. The earlier you apply, the more time you’ll have to submit those materials before scholarship review begins.
💡 Pro Tip: Apply early to maximize your scholarship opportunities!
📅 Transfer Students: Submit your application and all required materials by February 1 for priority scholarship consideration.

The Fall 2027 application is officially OPEN! Whether you’re planning to study in Boone, Hickory or online, start your journey today and apply to App State. Applying early can also unlock more scholarship opportunities!
⏱️ App State reviews applications on a rolling basis. Starting in September, first-year and transfer applicants can expect an admission decision within 2–4 weeks of submitting a complete application and all supplemental materials.
