With research conducted across the state, the LSU AgCenter is innovating, educating and improving lives.

The National Science Foundation's Higher Education Research and Development Survey has ranked LSU, with the LSU AgCenter, among the top 15 institutions nationwide for research expenditures in the field of agricultural sciences.

The AgCenter is using these research dollars to better Louisiana. Developments in crop varieties have bolstered Louisiana’s sugarcane industry, generating an annual economic impact of $960 million, and introduced climate-resilient rice to strengthen the state's $550 million rice industry. Explore our research priorities at www.lsuagcenter.com/research.
