Bossier Parish Community College's Learning Common's is located in Building A (facing Texas Street). It is comprised of the Library and The Tutoring Center. The Learning Commons is open over 60 hours each week and houses more than 45,000 items, including books, magazines, audiovisual materials (DVDs, CDs, videos, and audio cassettes), and microfiche. Current newspapers are available. The Library
offers access to a variety of electronic resources including indexes and databases which contain numerous newspaper, scholarly articles, and video content. The BPCC Library is a member of the LOUIS consortium. The Library also provides Internet access and various course-related software. Research assistance is available from professional librarians and staff members. Library instruction classes are offered for all courses. Individual assistance is available. The Tutoring Center, supports BPCC, other area colleges, and high school students in the pursuit of academic endeavors by providing high quality instructional support services via peer tutoring, computer assisted instruction, and hands-on learning models.
